How it all began
After retiring from teaching for 25 years Cathy moved to Anthem, Arizona. Finally able to put some time into her artwork, she began experimenting in watercolor, acrylic painting, mixed media, and collage. Her home quickly turned into a studio and she has been living and creating original works in the Anthem community for over 8 years. She is the artist behind Color Notions, was featured in Images Magazine, and has artwork showcased at FLAIR in Anthem.

Her daughter, Jamie Stutzer, has always had a passion for all things art, and graduated from Kutztown University with a BSEd in Art Education. She left Pennsylvania after college and ended up in Phoenix, Arizona. She has taught art for over 15 years in 5 different states, moving for her husband's job, but eventually came back to Phoenix to stay.

Cathy learned early on in her studio that people are drawn to creating art, yet art can be overwhelming when first starting out.
